Effective Date: 17 July 2025
A & R Gregory Enterprises Pty Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information when you use the Marli app and its related services ("Marli" or "the App"). Please review it carefully; your use of the App confirms your agreement.
1. What Information We Collect
During onboarding, we collect your email address, name, and personal preferences you share through onboarding surveys—such as wellbeing goals and preferred content. We also record your wellbeing plan data to customise your user experience. Additionally, we store your journal entries, chat sessions, or conversation history within Supabase for your access; however, we do not view, analyse or share these entries.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your email and name to create, manage, and secure your account, and to communicate updates or support messages. Your personal preferences and wellbeing data enable us to offer tailored content, reminders, and recommendations relevant to your journey. We also use this data to improve and develop new features. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, ever.
3. AI Features and Data Usage
Marli’s AI-enabled chat check-ins and content suggestion features use your onboarding data and preferences to deliver personalised experiences. The AI generates responses to help guide and support you, but such responses do not constitute professional therapy or health advice.
4. Data Storage and Security
All collected data including onboarding, preference, plan data, and user-generated content—is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Onboarding and preference data are stored by us; journal entries and chat history reside in Supabase. Access is strictly limited to authorised system processes. We retain data only as long as necessary to operate the App, support your use, improve functionality, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We respect your privacy and do not share your information with external parties, except when required by law (e.g., court order) or to protect our legal rights or user safety. We may employ trusted service providers (e.g., Apple, Supabase) to host or process data on our behalf, under strict confidentiality agreements.
6. Cookies and Tracking
Marli does not use cookies. We collect usage analytics directly via the App to understand engagement and identify technical issues. This data is anonymised and used only internally to improve performance and features.
7. Children’s Privacy
Marli is intended for users aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you may only use the App with parental or guardian consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor without consent, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
8. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal data. To request changes or deletion of onboarding, preferences, or journal data, please contact us. We will respond within a reasonable time, in compliance with applicable laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in the App, data practices, or legal requirements. The updated policy will be available within the App and at our website, with the “Effective Date” indicating the current version. Continued use of Marli after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
